The Brief
A first-time watch brand sent a hand sketch and two reference photos. They wanted a professional dive watch that felt lighter than steel, with a crisp bezel action and real 300 m water resistance.
The Challenge
- Titanium is harder to polish than 316L, so sharp chamfers easily turn soft.
- The 120-click bezel needed a firm, even feel across every unit.
- The brand had a fixed budget and could not pay for a second round of samples.
What We Did
Our engineers turned the sketch into a full CAD model and ran a DFM review before cutting any metal. We adjusted the lug angle by 2 degrees to keep the case comfortable on smaller wrists and changed the crown guard shape so it could be machined in one setup.

Cases were milled on 5-axis CNC at a tolerance of ±0.005 mm. Brushing and polishing were done by hand in two separate steps, so the polished bevels stay sharp. Every finished watch went through a dry vacuum test and a wet pressure test to 30 ATM.
The Result
- First sample approved without a second round.
- 300 watches delivered with a 0.7% rework rate at final QC.
- Case weight reduced from 98 g (steel version) to 61 g.
